2,400 reefer loads a year for a national grocery chain — delivered at 99.2% on-time with zero spoilage claims across two summers.
Overview
Cold freight that never breaks the chain
The client moves dairy, produce and frozen goods from Central Valley packers to 90 stores across three states. Before Haulbridge, summer spoilage claims averaged 3% of loads and delivery windows slipped weekly.
The challenge
Tight 4-hour store delivery windows, strict 2–4°C tolerances, and a carrier base that treated reefers like dry vans — pre-cooling skipped, doors left open, loggers ignored.
Our approach
We assigned a 40-trailer reefer pool with calibrated loggers, mandated pre-cool checks with photo proof, and built store-specific run sheets so drivers hit windows in route order — produce first, frozen last.
